Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about GeoQC.
General
What is GeoQC?
GeoQC is an offline-first QC documentation app for geomembrane installations. It replaces paper forms and spreadsheets with a digital workflow that covers deployment tracking, seam documentation, repair logging, destructive testing, as-built drawings, and CQA report generation.
Who is GeoQC for?
GeoQC is designed for CQA inspectors, geomembrane installation contractors, project engineers, and facility owners involved in geomembrane liner projects (landfills, mining, water management, agriculture, energy).
How is GeoQC different from general construction QC software?
GeoQC is purpose-built for geomembrane QC. It understands seam tracking, destructive test frequencies, welder qualifications, trial weld requirements, and ASTM/GRI specifications. General construction tools don't have these domain-specific workflows.
Trial and pricing
How long is the free trial?
14 days with full access to every feature. No credit card required.
What happens when the trial ends?
Your data is preserved. You can still view and export data, but you cannot create new entries or generate reports until you subscribe.
Can I use GeoQC for free?
The free trial gives you 14 days of full access. After that, a paid subscription is required. All plans include the complete QC workflow — there is no feature-limited free tier.
Technical
Does GeoQC work without internet?
Yes. GeoQC is built offline-first. All documentation features work without internet. Data syncs automatically when connectivity is available. See Offline Mode & Sync for details.
What happens if my device is lost or damaged?
If your data has synced to the cloud, it's safe. Sign in on a new device, load your projects, and continue working. If data has not yet synced (created offline and not yet connected), it may be lost with the device.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export all your data at any time in PDF, CSV, and PNG formats. Your data is yours — we never lock it in.
Compliance
Is GeoQC compliant with ASTM and GRI standards?
GeoQC is built around ASTM D6392, GRI GM13, and GRI GM14 requirements. Destructive test pass/fail calculations follow ASTM specifications automatically. However, GeoQC is a documentation tool — it does not provide regulatory certification. You are responsible for ensuring your documentation meets your project's specific regulatory requirements.
Does GeoQC replace a CQA inspector?
No. GeoQC is a tool that makes CQA inspectors more efficient and accurate. It does not replace professional judgment, field inspection, or quality assurance expertise.
Team and collaboration
Can multiple people work on the same project?
Yes. With Professional and Enterprise plans, multiple team members can document simultaneously, even offline. Data merges when everyone syncs.
Can I control who sees what?
Yes. GeoQC has role-based access control with five roles (Admin, Manager, Supervisor, Technician, Viewer). Team members only see projects they're assigned to. See Team Roles & Permissions for details.
